I was planning on going to one of the national parks around Bend\u00a0that have trails through the mountain wilderness. As I was getting ready to go, the image of the coast came flashed through my mind. So instead of packing a backpack for a few hour hike, I packed an over night bag and headed to the coast. Its about a 3 1\/2 hour drive from Bend to Newport. I left around 3p and got into town right around 7p.
